March at the Museum March 21, 2004 2:004:00 Youth Arts Fest is taking place on March 21st from 2:004:00 p.m. at the Tyler Museum of Art. Held in conjunction with Youth Art Month, this day is sure to give children of all ages a chance to participate in hands-on art activities, see our current exhibitions, and have fun with the whole family for FREE! To continue celebrating Membership Month during the month of March, the Museum is honoring its members with a Membership Appreciation Day on March 21st, the same day as Youth Arts Fest. Join TMA as a member or upgrade your current membership on this day or any other day during the month of March and receive a special bonus while supporting this important organization. Patricia Meadows is scheduled to give a lecture at the Tyler Museum of Art on Sculpture in Texas, which will be held in conjunction with the exhibition, Philip John Evett: The Aura of the Past/Future on March 25. The reception and lecture begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Museum. Ms. Meadows is currently the curator for Hall Office Park, which houses the Texas Sculpture Garden. Contemporary Sculptures by 38 well known Texas artists are showcased in this outdoor, 4-acre site in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Since 1984, she has been listed in Who's Who in American Art. Ms. Meadows is the founder of the Dallas Visual Art Center, and is also the owner of Art Connections, an art consulting business. Kentaro Tomio, Curator for the Tyler Museum of Art was "elated to find that Patricia Meadows had accepted the Museum's invitation to lecture on Texas sculpture." Additionally he is "very pleased and honored to have Ms. Meadows come to Tyler and lecture on such an interesting topic given her educational and professional background."
