Tyler Museum of Art Seeks Docents The Tyler Museum of Art is currently seeking docents for the 2004-2005 school year. Due to the popularity of the TMA's programs and exhibitions, the Museum needs to double its number of docents. Guiding tours for school groups is the chief role, but adult and special groups are included. TMA docents also conduct art activities and help with special events. The docent program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to learn about and enjoy art in a friendly environment. It is a rewarding experience to share the Museum's art with others and to contribute to the education of our school children and community. It is also a wonderful way to gain experience for future career goals. TMA docents receive a discount on Museum membership and free admittance to TMA exhibitions, lectures, and special events. They also enjoy a number of social activities such as out of town trips and luncheons.
